Screamin' Jimmy update!

Here's small update from past week for Screamin' Jimmy. Got one fuel tank polished out and two more to go. As you can see paint on the truck is also shiny now (except back of sleeper in the pic). Took me whole day to buff out the old faded paint, but it was worth the effort since truck looks amazing now (sorry that the picture does not do justice to the truck). I have ordered new outlines for graphics on the sides and should have them during this week. Few items have been ordered from US and should arrive in week or so.

Keep posted for more updates soon!!!

Wheel polishing and Geting Parts Chromed out!

First front wheel polished out real nice!

One rear wheel done three more to go.

I was impressed how nicely wheels polished out with pretty less work.

Here you see few of the items I'm getting chromed for my W900A EXHD.

I'm still waiting to hear from the shipping company related to the damage they did at the port while unloading the General from the ship. During the wait I have started to polishing out the wheels on the General and here you see how nicely first ones came out. I still have few of them to go.

Also I have been working on with some of my W900A EXHD parts to get chromed. I have done all the prep work for chroming my own and sent parts out last week. Can't wait to get them back all shiny and be mounted back to the Kenworth.

GMC General at home 20!

Just short up-date for now. Screamin' Jimmy -project has been picked up from the port of Kotka. As you can see from the pics we had a little drama with the pick up. General got damaged to the front RH side while unloading from the ship by the shipping company. Among with other damages the radiator got bend and started leaking so bad we had to get wrecker to get it home from the port. At the moment we are working on with shipping company about the damage case. Hope we'll get it solved ASAP and we can get General -project forward on high gear.

Special thanks to Hinausautot Purhonen Ky from excellent service!!!

Joo....

Eli pikainen päivitys Screamin' Jimmy -projektin tiimoilta. Auto haettiin satamasta helmikuun 7 päivä lievän draaman saattelemana. Auto vaurioitui keulastaan laivasta purkauksen yhteydessä laivayhtiön toimesta. Keula koki yllättävän laajat vauriot vaikka ne eivät kuvissa näy. Muun muassa syyläri taipui ja alkoi vuotaa sen verta pahoin ettei autoa voitu siirtää satamasta omin voimin. Poiminta tehtiin hinausauton turvin.

Radiator Lights!

Till waiting GMC project to arrive, which is delayed by shipping company, I've been working on with the W900A. I made nice stainless brackets to top corners of radiator and placed ol'skool double face lights with chrome housing up there. They look real nice lite up giving nice glow to front of the engine.

Customized Stainless Fire Extinguisher!

Fire Extinguisher as it was when got it.

Fire Extinguisher found its new home a side of driver's seat mounted to hand polished stainless bracket. Also note new matching color decorative items on shift sticks ;).

Fire Extinguisher and all chromed and stainless parts were cleaned and hand polished. Hose was changed to Red and pull pin got new tag on it.

Like mentioned on my earlier posts I keep working on with details of our W900A EXHD and newest addition is hand polished customized Fire Extinguisher mounted next to driver's seat. On top of the above mentioned details the fire extinguisher does contain one trick which can not be seen here. To keep your interest a live I will not tell what it is. To get answer you need to visit us at next show and check it out in person. If you mention you heard about it from our site I will give you a small gift ;)!

Special Thanks to Savonlinnan Sammutinhuolto for locating one of thise rare stainless fire extinguishers for me!!!

Most folks are asking a lot about the Screamin' Jimmy -project and let's put it this way, up dates should fallow soon!

Suomeksi

Jep, elikkä kuten olen jo aikaisemmissa postauksissa todennut, rakkaan W900A EXHD Kenworthin jatkojalostus etenee kokoajan, keskittyen yksityiskohtien hieromiseen.

Custom made Old KW-Crooked Emblems!

Emblems are custom made to fit on to flat surface and mounted with two stainless steel studs at back.

Made two different versions one is fully polished aluminum and other has painted grooves and polished sides and face pattern.

These emblems were custom made for my W900A EXHD. Still not sure which ones I'm goin' to use fully polished ones or painted ones because both look super cool. Polished ones look way better in real than they appear in the pictures.

Got a little progress done with my KenworthW900A EXHD "Silicone Express II". I wanted to get nice old school KW -crooked Emblems to be used on flat surface, so I ended up making these nice custom emblems for my truck. Original emblem I had needed to be modified pretty heavily from here and there to get these nice smooth sided and flat backed emblems. Lotta hand made work and grinding and polishing done and here you see the outcome. I'm more than very happy how they came out in the end. Emblems have stainless steel studs at back for mounting. I did two different versions out of them, fully polished and partially painted versions.

With these emblems I wanted to continue on my route to create something different, but still Ol' Skool and make my truck one step closer to being perfect show stopper W900A there is!!!

Went through my picture archives and ran into this picture. This picture from the 2008 by Floyd Matthias reminded me how fast the time flies and how good memories are mostly in hand of lady luck. Felt like it was yesterday when we did this photo shoot with Floyd and Anu. Man did we have fun whole time when Floyd was over and did he have huge hang over after all hah haa...!!!
